Simplified Characters is an independent musical duo made up of Justin Heitman (Instrumentals, backing vocals) and Brittany Kutka (Vocals) based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Their music is a somber kind of subtle and energetic melancholia underscored by wry, tongue-in-cheek lyrics and vocals layered with smooth, fun basslines. Simply put, Simplified Characters will catch you off-guard in ways that are more often than not surprising and fresh, in the way only young musicians can be.
